This Privacy Policy describes how Mado Digital LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information across our apps, including Gomi Guide. We keep things simple — we only collect what's needed to make the app work, and we never sell your data.
What We Collect
- Your email address (to create your account)
- Your city or ward in Japan (to show local sorting rules)
- Photos you scan (sent securely to our AI service for analysis, then discarded — never stored on our servers)
- Scan feedback you submit (to improve sorting accuracy)
- Basic usage analytics (app opens, feature usage — no personal data)
- Purchase receipts for subscription verification (verified server-to-server with Apple)
How We Use It
- Power AI-based garbage sorting using OpenAI's vision API (photos are sent securely, processed, and immediately discarded)
- Show your local collection schedule
- Send pickup reminders (only if you opt in)
- Display relevant ads via Google AdMob (free users only — Pro users see no ads)
- Process subscription purchases through Apple's In-App Purchase system
- Improve the app experience based on anonymous usage patterns
What We Never Do
- Sell or share your personal data with third parties
- Store your photos after AI processing is complete
- Track your location or activity outside the app
- Use your data for purposes unrelated to the app
Third-Party Services
To provide our services, we share specific data with these processors:
- Supabase — secure authentication and data storage
- OpenAI — image analysis (photos sent transiently, not retained by OpenAI for training when sent via our API)
- Google AdMob — ad delivery for free users (with Apple App Tracking Transparency consent)
- Apple — App Store purchases and subscription management
Your Control
- Delete your account and all associated data anytime from the app's Settings
- Turn off notifications whenever you want
- Opt out of personalized ads in your device's Settings → Privacy → Tracking

- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID Subscription Settings
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
